GRAIN PERFECTION
Crafted from the very best basswood, our stained timber shutters have a distinctive wood grain. Carefully hand selected, each piece is inspected to ensure the grain is even, without knots or imperfections, creating an appearance that’s the best quality.
Stained timber is a great alternative to painted finishes to change the look and feel of wood, it highlights the timber itself adding a different layer of texture to furniture, floors and window coverings. Our stained timber shutters are no different offering a sleek richness to home and office spaces.
These shutters are not only stained but also top coated in lacquer for a smooth finish. The stain brings out the hidden grain effect of the timber, the lacquer gives a satin glossiness, highly durable to help protect the stain colour. With just the right amount of satin shine (not high gloss) they prove to be easy keep free from any smudges and to dust off when necessary.
Available in a range of standard colours from dark chocolate to very light blonde:
Auburn, Cherry, Chestnut, Dark Java, Golden Oak, Honey Oak, Light Oak, Rich Mahogany, Sugar Maple, Warm Cherry, Walnut & Wenge.
The most popular as a guide are Wenge – a really dark brow stain that leans towards black for a mood making effect.
Walnut – A mid brown colour that would compliment both dark and light interiors.
Cherry – As the name suggests a brown with reddish hues that would look great with a light coloured interior for a pop of colour.
Honey Oak – Is a warm honey colour, not too dark, not too light. A great colour to compliment furnishings.
Maintaining stained & lacquered inside plantation shutters is easy peasy. A dusting cloth/wand is generally all that’s needed to remove any dust dander or a slightly damp – solvent free - cloth for any smudges.
