Our custom-made fixed blade louvre shutters are of premium quality and workmanship. Using only Western Red Cedar timber that is light weight and receptive to oil, paint and stain finishes it's a fantastic cost-effective DIY shutter option for many indoor and outdoor situations.
Our fixed louvre shutters are used most as decorative additions to windows as an external feature offering a timeless 'facelift' for window dressing. They are also used as folding servery doors, cupboard & boat cabin doors, screening - both free standing and fixed in place. Incorporated into shop fit outs as above door features and vents, louvre gable vents and other DIY projects.
Our purpose-built machine is designed to cater for 45mm x 10mm thick louvre blades that are inserted into the stile so there is no need to glue or screw them into place. The top and bottom rails are mortice and tenon, providing a very strong frame once assembled used the supplied screws. Our stock standard stile size (the vertical components) is 60mm deep x 30mm wide that the louvre blades are inserted into. The stile depth can be reduced to give the shutters a streamline look and feel.
ShutterKits DIY kit shutters have comprehensive video and printable easy to understand assembly instructions. The kits are manufactured in our Brisbane factory and as our shutters are shipped Australia wide, all care possible is taken with the packaging to ensure they arrive safely at their destination.
