Shutters by fitting type
-
Hinged shutters are the easiest of installations. They may be hinged into the existing window reveal without the use of frames. This installation won’t hide the existing decretive architrave but will enhance it.
-
Hinged bi-fold shutters are an addition to standard hinged shutters. These shutters fold onto one another. They are ideal for covering wider window and door openings.
-
Sliding shutters run on a top quality tracking system. Sliding shutters are used for various applications. They are installed to slide in front of one another.
-
Sliding bi-fold shutters are shutters that fold onto one another while also sliding on a tracking system at the same time.
-
Our Western Red Cedar shutters are used outdoors. They are used for verandah/patio enclosures & doors. Western Red Cedar is what we recommend for outdoor use. It won’t shrink or warp when exposed to weather and the elements.
-
Double shutters are usually used in sliding applications. These are shutters that are joined with a reduced centre stile and biscuit joined. This allows the panels to cover a wider expanse while providing strength.
-
Our speciality shutters are for odd shaped windows. Circle, arch and angled.
-
This application is good for windows that have three panels of glass in them. A centre fixed panel of glass with the two outer panels that slide toward the centre. If possible the shutters are split into the same widths as the glass panels. The centre shutter is fixed into place with magnetic catches. The two outer shutters are hinged to the architrave.
-
Room divider shutters are a great way to fill the ’hole in the wall’. They provide air flow between rooms when needed or privacy when required. Generally they are fixed into place with matching timber beading that we supply. The blades are movable but the shutter panel stays stationary.
-
Our fixed blade shutters are made from Western Red Cedar. They are ideal for decretive use indoors or outdoors, free standing screening when hinged together and cupboard doors.
